Constellation Energy (formerly Integrys Energy Services) – Dayton, OH / Green Bay, WI

Senior Database Administrator (January 2013- Present)

Database Administrator (November 2011 – January 2013)

In my current role, not only am I a DBA, but also a SAN administrator and data warehouse developer.  I’m part of a small team with a huge environment to support.  It’s a lot of work, but I view that as a positive because I am constantly learning and being exposed to new technology.  Our environment is made up primarily of SQL Server 2008 with databases as large as 6TB.  The entire environment consumes nearly 200TB of storage.  Up until May of 2014, I worked out of the office in Green Bay.  My wife and I now reside in Dayton, OH, where I work remotely.

Legislative Technology Services Bureau – Madison, WI

Enterprise Database Administrator (July 2010 – November 2011)

I served as the sole database administrator for the Wisconsin State Legislature.  The legislative bill drafting  and constituent contact applications were two of the systems that fell under my database management umbrella.  The environment consisted primarily of SQL Server (2005/2008), along with Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Integrys Energy Services – Green Bay, WI

Associate Database Administrator/Database Administrator (May 2008 – July 2010)

I originally joined Integrys Energy Services in 2008 fresh out of college.  I began my career here as an Associate DBA and was brought up under senior personnel.  After about a year of service, I was promoted and was able to lose the ‘Associate’ part of my title.
